Medical equipment is expensive and has a short lifespan of five to 10 years. Unlike many operating costs, equipment is not funded by the government; it is expected that the community finances the replacement of medical equipment and building redevelopment through the work of hospital foundations. This is why support from our donors is so important.
Each year, equipment needs are submitted for consideration based on priority and available resources. All equipment, purchased with generous donations, must follow an approval process. Medical equipment purchases are not government funded. Your donation helps to purchase equipment that has been prioritized as an urgent need in Prince Edward County.
