The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation (PECMHF) is raising $30M to help build a new hospital in Prince Edward County (PEC). The new 96k square foot, leading-edge hospital is scheduled to open in 2027. The $30M will cover 10 percent of the cost of the bricks and mortar component of the hospital build and 100 percent of the medical equipment. The other 90 percent of the hard construction costs will be covered by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC)
I support the new hospital, because I look forward to working in a state-of-the-art facility for the later part of my career. As we take on more of a teaching role through Queen’s, it will be important for the education of young physicians and the recruitment and retaining of young talent.
I love The County because what it has to offer: Great culinary scene, world class kiteboarding, young families and exciting summers! The winters offer much-needed repose and tranquility!

I support the new hospital campaign because this amazing team of health care providers and support staff want to continue to deliver great care to the people of Prince Edward County and by having a new "Hospital" we can do so in a "State of the Art" facility. Our new hospital will enable us to continue that tradition for future generations in The County.
I love The County because: The people are warm and welcoming, the scenery is gorgeous, and the small-town friendliness and feel is pervasive. We enjoy kayaking in the area or getting on our motorcycles and touring around the county visiting the many art galleries, farmer's markets, wineries and breweries. A little piece of paradise!
