OUR BOARD

Our Board

Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation’s volunteer Board of Directors oversees the interests of donors and equipment needs at our County Hospital. They ensure gifts received are used effectively, responsibly and in compliance with the wishes of the donor.

 

The board currently consists of 12 members. They volunteer their time, expertise, energy and ideas to further the goal of advancing health care in The County. They also contribute financially to fundraising endeavours. The board comprises:

Our Committees

During intervals between meetings of the Board, the Executive Committee may exercise all the powers of the Board in the management and direction of the affairs and business of the foundation, including the hiring and supervision of staff, but subject to any limitations which the Board may from time to time impose.

The Finance Committee shall make recommendations on the foundation’s budget, investments, fund allocation, review of finances and audit reports. This may include negotiation of the fees and changes of the auditors and investment advisors, the setting of annual financial goals and objectives, along with all other foundation matters with financial implications.

Selected for their interest and expertise in fundraising, marketing, event planning, and related fields; among whose functions shall be to liaise with and support the staff team.

The Governance Committee shall deal with policies and procedures, review of by-laws, succession planning (including recommendations for nominations for election of Directors and appointment of Officers), and annual review of the strategic plan.

PECMHF has assembled a strong team of prominent leaders in business, health care and the community to spearhead the effort to raise $27M to help build Prince Edward County’s new hospital. These community champions have been playing an important role in supporting the Back the Build campaign to solicit and secure meaningful gifts for the project.

Annual Meeting

The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation's

annual meeting will take place on

Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Wellings of Picton.

The meeting includes the election of directors and executive committee for the upcoming fiscal year and presentation and approval of our audited financial statements.


 The meeting is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.

The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital (PECMH) Foundation is seeking expressions of interest to join the Board of Directors.

If you have a passion for the County and are interested in helping advance outstanding care close to home, please consider joining this dynamic team.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have recent experience in/with:

  • Implementing strategic plans
  • Community healthcare
