Recently David Hatch of HatchGallery curated a one-of-a-kind exhibition titled; Both Sides Now to celebrate the musical careers of four immensely talented Canadian musicians who also just happen to be really great painters too.
On August 26, 2023, four time Juno nominee, Sarah Slean performed a very special tribute to Joni Mitchell at Picton's new Base31. While this summer, Kevin Hearn celebrated his 28th year as a member of the super popular Canadian rock band, Barenaked Ladies. For his part, the summer of 2023 found artist Kurt Swinghammer celebrating his 40th year of making his very special brand of music, art, and video by creating a beautiful animation for Bruce Cockburn's latest single, Us All. While earlier this summer, musician/author/artist Tom Wilson celebrated the incredible honour of being named to the Order of Canada.
For the opening of the Both Sides Now exhibition, Hearn, Slean, Swinghammer, and Wilson performed a very intimate two hour house concert at HatchGallery.
As guests arrived for the performance, the group encouraged the audience to make a small donation towards the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
