When a community comes together in support of local health care, it’s a wonderful thing.
On Wednesday, on behalf of HTM Insurance Company, Karen Sero presented Briar Boyce, senior development officer with the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation, with a holiday gift of $1,000. The funds will purchase priority medical equipment at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital.
“Gifts like this enable us to purchase the equipment that helps the Care Champions working in our hospital save lives and improve health. We are grateful to HTM Insurance and their clients who have demonstrated their commitment to keeping our hospital well-equipped for everyone in our community for 16 years,” said Boyce.
“We are very pleased that this contribution helps provide care to those who need it most across the Quinte region. HTM Insurance is proud to support the dedicated staff working hard each day to care for the community,” said Sero.
Boyce’s thoughts were echoed by Shannon Coull, executive director of the PECMH Foundation. “Fundraising and philanthropy have an incredible impact on the care we can provide at PECMH. Donors fund every piece of medical equipment we purchase. Our Care Champions need these tools to provide comfort and care for the hospital’s patients. This gift is already making a difference.”
